The AMPLL Slackbot

When you install the AMPLL app into your Slack workspace, you can get another look into your activity data from Slack.

HOME TAB

With AMPLL selected in Apps menu, select the Home tab and click Report.

With this screen, you can choose a time range to report on (this week, last week, today, yesterday) and see an activity report that breaks down:

  • interactions by type (meeting, mail, chat, files)
  • Activity by team (e.g., Work, Personal)
  • Activity by day across team, interaction type, time period (morning, business, evening, night).

You can also click Activity to view a listing of your logged events.  With this screen, you can choose a time range to report on (this week, last week, today, yesterday) and see an activity report that lists individual activities by day:

In the Activity screen, you can also click Log an Activity manually log activities that are not tracked automatically by your AMPLL deployment, including in person meetings, phone calls, and video conferences.  With logged activities, you can specify date, time, duration, and other participants.

Messages

Once you have authorized Slack access to AMPLL, a Slack App notifies you as AMPLL analyzes your collaboration data and also serves notifications when analyses are complete.  Below shows an example of the messages you might receive.

From this screen or from other channels or DMs in the workspace, you can choose to converse with the AMPLL Slackbot directly with the following commands.

/ampll report

Enables you to manually generate a report summarizing your activity much as clicking Report on the AMPLL app Home tab.

/ampll log

Enables you to manually log activities, much as clicking Log an Activity in the Activity screen of the AMPLL app Home tab.
